Crab in Da Bag.
Happen to pass by this place at East Coast Park’s big splash. Decided to have a try even though the price on the menu seems a bit on the high side since it serves mostly seafood. We went there a bit early so there wasn’t many people and we were excited! Something that is quite different, finally in Singapore.
The turnover of the tables were real fast. Well the trick is this, you do not need utensils and all items served came in bags instead of plates. We used our hands to eat and you can mess up the whole table as it is protected by a layer of paper. You can choice the type of seafood and also the way you want to cook it. Boston lobsters, prawn, fish, squids and clams are some of the choices. Quite similar to those Chinese restaurants as well. Here you can pick 3 types of flavor. The easiest way is to get the stuff to recommend the combination.
The 3 items we ordered
The prawns which I think was about $28
The Fried Squid
Overall, we love the seafood that we tried here. I would say that the items were quite tasty even thought it was quite salty and oily thou. Can we say that this was finger liking good? Well… lets see the review below. In terms of service, it was still ok but when there are too customers you might be left unnoticed. If you do not know how to remove the shell for the Boston lobster, fret not the stuff will come to the rescue. We left our seats and in less than one minute someone else took over so I have to say that the turnover is quite speedy.
Tips: Do not have your first date here. Unless you want to peal everything for her. 🙂 Else, eat like a monster here no one cares.
